“I’m doing pretty well myself,” Anna says with a small shrug. “Reconciled with some of my family, made some good friends, I’m living with a great girl— you know, can’t complain.”“Family, friends…” Ruby grinned, “Great girl?” She nodded, “Good for you.”
“Thanks!” Anna beams. “What about you, huh? You still with Sam?”
Ruby tilted her head forward and smiled. “Oh, Sam.” She shrugged, “Yeah.”
“Hmm,” she rolled her eyes and smiled, “Sam, Sam, Sam.” Ruby craned her neck slightly up to kiss him, “Sounds like you care, about me.”
Sam met her kiss gladly, as if it was his first. “What foreign word is that?” he asked jokingly, stealing kisses between words.
“Uh huh,” she mumbled, “Didn’t deny it.”

Ruby gave a small smile and turned her head toward him to softly kiss him, “No idea.”
He made a mellow hum, a happy noise, against her lips as he turned into her kiss, his hand supporting the back of her head.
She tried to resist smiling, but as she leaned up to kiss him, a small smile spread across her face.
He parted his lips from hers for a brief moment, but he kept their faces close. “I don’t like how you taste of your victims.” he whispered cheekily.
Ruby smirked, “I don’t like how you taste like health foods,” she mocked.
“Would you rather you tasted other men?” he quickly retorted before pulling a puzzled face, surprised he had said that. “I would rather taste health foods.”
She backed away from him, surprised at his reply. “What?” Her eyes slightly narrowed as she tilted her head to the side, “You’re mad?”
“No,” he calmed her. “A little jealous, maybe.” he said, closing the gap between them. He brushed his thumb over her lower lip and smiled. “I don’t like to share.. especially you.”

Ruby leans her head up to look at Sam, “No….” She smiles and over-exaggeratedly bats her eyes, “Good to know you’re interested though.”
A soft grin slowly grows over Sam’s face as he brushes her hair away from her cheek. “When am I not..” he began, stopping to lightly kiss her cheek. “..Interested?”
Ruby gave a small smile and turned her head toward him to softly kiss him, “No idea.”
